Children who find communication difficult can struggle either with their development of spoken language (learning words and vocabulary) or with the clarity of their speech (the way the produce the sounds in speech).
Honeybee SLT focuses on the second category- speech. We work to help children with delayed or disordered speech sound developement to become clearer and more easily understood.
THE CLINIC
Honeybee Speech Therapy Clinic
Honeybee Speech Therapy has a dedicated clinic room which offers a focused environment where children can come to learn. We aim to keep things fun, so there are plenty of toys and activities to explore, while practicing our 'new' speech sounds.

The clinic is locate in Ailsworth, a village just outside Peterborough. It's 10 minutes from Peterborough and just off the A1.
Free, allocated parking is available.

Specialist in speech sound delays and disorders
Although Honeybee was founded recently (Jan 2024), my clinical experience and expertise are long standing. Having worked in the NHS for over a decade (at Great Ormond Street, Addenbrookes Hospital and in the local community), I've helped many children with a wide range of communication difficulties.
I have a particular passion for speech sound therapy, working with children to reduce frustration and achieve clearer sounding speech.

Regular sessions or intensive therapy

Ongoing therapy
Regular (usually weekly) speech therapy sessions often work well for families who are local to Peterborough and wish to fit therapy around the rhythm of their family lives.
'Speech Camp' Intensive Therapy
Some families book 'speech camp' over half-term or allocate a week in the holidays to 'blitz' their speech work. Intensive therapy involves full day(s) of therapy, usually 4 sessions a day, with breaks in-beteen. Evidence suggests that intensive speech therapy can be more effective, and often works well for those who live further afield.
